Presentation: Managing Emissions to New Standards Using PI

Many industrial companies in the EU are facing the prospect of complying with the Large Combustion Plant Directive from 2008 and its associated reporting requirements. This presentation will cover how RWE npower is using PI to minimize the staff workload required to report to the extended requirements of the directive as applied in the UK, which differ between power station types. It will demonstrate how PI DataLink has been automated to produce both emissions reports and log checks of the instrumentation, including the methodology used to retrieve data across timechanges and the systems used to isolate and report bad data.
