Machine Learning 101 – End-to-End Primer on How to Get Started Using ML with the PI System
A recent Gartner study has placed Machine Learning (ML) as the top emerging technology over the next several years. Many believe that ML can bring great value to their organizations. Within industrial applications, ML can be applied to a variety of problems, such as process optimization and demand forecasting. Applied Machine Learning is a new discipline that requires new skills. These skills are very much something that can be learned by PI Developers and Database Administrators. This session will break down and explain each step in the ML process. Using the PI System and Azure ML platform, you will learn how to create your own ML experiments that can be used to solve every day real-world problems. We will present a practical road map for someone not currently using or familiar with Machine Learning. This will provide you with an excellent starting point for using this exciting and interesting technology. Basic PI System knowledge is assumed. Some programming experience is helpful.
