The University of Alaska, Fairbanks has been using a PI System for many years to monitor its combined heat and power plant on the main Fairbanks campus. For most of that time, the campus community expressed little interest in that data. A renewed interest in energy conservation, sustainability, and student engagement has changed the way the UAF looks at its data. This presentation shows what data is being collected and how it is being used to advance master planning, cost accounting, and education.
