Leveraging an EA for an Integrated Platform in Life Sciences
This presentation will recount how Baxter BioScience went into their OSIsoft Enterprise Agreement (EA), benefits of the EA, their vision for use of the OSIsoft PI System, what they plan to do to get there, and a description of the challenges to overcome within an organization to establish a true EA.

AXEL SCHNUETGEN is Manager IT at Baxter Deutschland GmbH in Unterschleissheim, Germany. Schnuetgen graduated from the University of Cologne in 1999 with a Dipl-Kfm. in Business Administration with minor in Computer Science, and from 2000 to 2002 was a KPMG Unternehmensberatung with various assignments in the ERP landscape. He became an i2 Technologies Inc. Business System Consultant for implementation of the Advanced Planning System in the electrical and steel industry with connection to SAP, and self-employed for two years working on implementation of the Oracle JD Edwards ERP suite at Baxter in Europe. In 2005 he became Manager IT at Baxter where he has held increasing roles including the implementation of an Enterprise Portfolio Management system, a Business Intelligence System and a Manufacturing Intelligence system. Lately he has become responsible for the Enterprise Architecture for the 13 different production sites of Baxter BioScience including the vendor relationship with OSIsoft for their Enterprise Agreement.
