CORESO is a company where experienced engineers from multiple European countries work together to ensure and improve the reliability of Europe’s electricity supply. As a Regional Coordination Service Initiative, CORESO provides its shareholders with coordination services in line with recommendations made by the European Commission. It supports three objectives:• Operational security of the electricity system• Integration of large-scale renewable energy generation• Development of the European electricity marketThanks to the OSIsoft PI System they have a wide overview of electricity flows and alerts about risk situations; these enhance Security of Supply by providing a vision of electricity flows complementary to the national vision of CORESO engineers.
