Journey Deploying Data Analytics for Manufacturing Insights (Lonza/Seeq)
Lonza s analytics journey began with the OSIsoft PI system - investing in Asset Framework, Event Frames, and PI Vision. In 2018, Lonza Specialty Ingredients expanded analytics to their entire engineering community. This enabled experts to have 24/7 live access to the plant´s performance, run statistical methods, create models for predictive analytics, and save these onto a standard dashboard for monitoring. Lonza now considers this a true enterprise analytics solution with the industry s best-in-class infrastructure platform, OSIsoft PI.
The results have been overwhelming. Access to insights and the number of empowered engineers in the plant have grown exponentially as OSIsoft PI System data has become even more valuable. The paper will present the implementation of the OSIsoft PI System and Seeq in Lonza to deliver an advanced analytics solution in the organization. Included will be testimonials, use cases, and example Seeq dashboards from users from different segments at Lonza.
