IT Monitor in the High-Performance Computing Data Center: Controlling TFlop Performance and Power Utilization
This presentation will detail how PI/IT Monitor is used to manage the IT resources at the Weill Cornell Medical College's Institute for Computational Biomedicine. It will focus on applications for system health monitoring, capacity planning, and a novel application for measuring and controlling power consumption (one of the leading operating costs) in the HPC data center.

Mr. Banfelder is an Associate Technology Engineer in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics and the Institute for Computational Biomedicine at the Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. Trained as a Chemical Engineer, Mr. Banfelder spent nearly 10 years in the Oil & Gas business with ABB and later Kesler Engineering before joining the faculty of Cornell University.
