Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard's Midleton distillery produces Jameson Whiskey, which is the fastest growing whiskey brand globally. In order to keep up with the growth they need a scalable data analytics platform for safe, efficient and consistent operations while maintaining premium product quality at all times. In this presentation, Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard will explain how they are using the PI System as a data infrastructure, along with MKS SIMCA-online data analytic tools, to develop predictive models for the distillation process in their whiskey manufacturing plant in Cork, Ireland. The system enables them to predict and model process variables so that product does not go out of specification and they can produce the product in a more efficient, consistent way while enabling a continuous improvement strategy.
