The PI System is the standard real-time data infrastructure for multiple organizations and industry sectors. The volume of incoming and archived data grows constantly and the technological and business needs become more complex on a daily basis. As a result the need to perform more advanced analytical operations on large amounts of data has become a necessity. In this talk we will explain how to integrate PI System data into various analytical tools using PI Data Access products. We will discuss the big picture of such integration. We then focus on specific third-party analytical tools, such as MATLAB, and ways to harvest the synergy of such a marriage. We conclude the talk by examining real-life examples and simulation results.
