Integrating the OSIsoft PI System with synTQ for High Performance, Low Maintenance PAT Method Integration

synTQ, a leader in the field of Process Analytical Technology Knowledge Management, has for many years integrated with industry standard OSIsoft PI System, where univariate data is exchanged as part of a client’s PAT architecture. The interfacing technology used has been OPC DA, however due to client demand a tighter integration of the two products has taken place, which enables higher value, increased data integrity and faster implementation. The integration of synTQ with the Asset Framework within the OSIsoft PI System now means that all the features and advantages of the PI AF can be extended to the management of PAT Methods. This integration will allow users to leverage their existing OSIsoft infrastructure to bring model and processed PAT instrument data into their PI System. This has huge model and PAT Method maintenance advantages that can further leverage the advantage of using the OSIsoft PI System. Martin Gadsby

Martin graduated in engineering from the University of Bath in the late 1970s. After working through a classical graduate engineering apprenticeship and a few positions in industry, he became the European Group Leader for Kraft Foods in relation to the development of new process automation and processing techniques. After a few years at Kraft, Martin decided to set up a process automation business with a colleague, and Optimal Industrial Automation was born. Optimal was formed in 1987 with Martin still being one of the Directors and owners to this day. Martin is intimately involved with progressing the evolution of synTQ and advising the development team on what he believes to be the optimum development direction. Over the last few years, he has taken on the overall responsibility for the sales and marketing of synTQ whilst remaining very active in ensuring that the development of synTQ continues unabated with features such as the OSISoft interface.
