Improving Equipment Reliability and Availability through Real-time Data
Improved reliability and integrity of critical rotating equipment is one of the major business drivers for any organization in today's competitive environment. Reducing downtime and moving toward a proactive maintenance strategy requires commitment to put into place an intelligent maintenance and repair practices that will help to identify the root cause of unplanned shutdowns and take the necessary steps to prevent future occurrences. ADCO has undertaken an initiative of directly interfacing the existing Field Data Integration System (FDIS) based on the OSISoft PI System with its Asset Management System from IBM Maximo. The objective of the initiative is to achieve significantly improved plant reliability by creating workflows and procedures that support and enhance maintenance improvement strategies, deliver a sustainable value and help in addressing the root cause of recurring issues.
