In this challenging low oil price environment, aggressive efforts are being made to find methods to drive down drilling costs. Existing real-time drilling data aggregation and visualization solutions have inhibited these efforts by making it difficult to easily move, aggregate, visualize and analyze real time data. Apache took a new approach by moving off multiple third party solutions to an OSIsoft PI Enterprise as the back-end data storage and Tatsoft FactoryStudio for the data acquisition at the rig sites, for third party data aggregation, as well as for the advanced enterprise visualization; including mobile. The unique, state-of-the-art solution, has enabled seamless external integration, of data, models, and algorithms to deliver better data driven decisions and actions, based on reliable accurate data, in real time to improve performance and inefficiencies.
