Implementing an RtPM-based Product Tank Transfer Using Analysis Framework
Bayer Chemicals in South Charleston, West Virginia will present a blueprint of their implementation strategy of a product transfer and reporting system that uses OSIsoft’s RtPM software platform that will eventually encompass chemical tanks, rail-cars, tank-cars and barrels. This product transfer project will use standard OSIsoft products with a focus on applying Analysis Framework (AF) and RtWebParts in order to depict Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Return On Assets (ROA) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). RtReports and DataLink will be leveragedfor reporting. This initial project has been justified by providing automatic documentation of batch transfers, reduction of tank level alarms, improved product quality, and increased throughput through the tank farm. The benchmarking of these assumptions will be used to develop the complete project scope and forecast the total project’s return on investment (ROI).
