Nergica is an applied research center in renewable energies. One of the main topics is the study of the impact of icing on wind turbines. Indeed, ice accretion on blade wind turbine is one of the main power losses when their are installed in cold climate such as in Canada. Hopefully, wind turbine are now more and more equipped of deicing system such as hot air system or electrical heater directly installed in the blade. But, to activate these system, it needs to detect icing on the blades which is then most of the time too late. Then, predicting ice accretion using meteorological models would help preventing ice accretion, starting the heating system prior to the event coming.

Antoine holds an engineer's degree from the University of Nantes engineering school, Polytech Nantes, as well as a two-year graduate diploma (DUT) from the Institut Universitaire et Technologique of Saint-Nazaire, both of which are located in France.
