PRESENTATION
2007 - User Conference - Monterey
How to Get the Best of the Daily Mass Balance System Operation
The daily execution of mass balance not only helps production accountability, but also improves the capability of the process analyst to make early diagnostic of valve leaks and flow meter faults, increasing plant profits or avoiding losses. As the person accomplishing the task gets maturity and familiarity with the plant, the discovery of such failures are made before losses become meaningful. Petrobras operates its mass balance executing Sigmafine, the OSIsoft mass balance system, for almost four years, and some of the refineries are producing remarkable results. The objective of the presentation is to share with other Sigmafine customers a few insights, some results and financial gains.
