How the Industrial Internet of Things is Changing Operations
ARC Advisory Group will present current research and best practices on emerging mega-trends and what this means for the process industries information and data sharing. Operational intelligence is enabled by the convergence of IT and OT from both technology architecture and organizational perspectives and an efficient means to leverage sensor data across the enterprise.
While business analytics was once a laborious, time-consuming task that required a staff of experts to extract relevant and meaningful decision-support information from an oil & gas enterprise's data, IIoT-enabled predictive analytics is changing all that. Instead of getting answers to operational questions in days or weeks, information in context can now be made available in ""relevant time"", enabling operational personnel to make better and timelier decisions that affect the business.
