This session will cover all the aspects of High Availability (HA) that you need to consider when designing a system to be reliable and available end to end. HA technology included in the PI System is covered, but so are processes and procedures around the PI System.
Finally, the subject of end users and how they can impact the value chain will be covered. Back end systems can only do so much. Proper training is critical. A highly collaborative user community can help tremendously to meet this need."

Matt Heere
Matt Heere has spent the last 20 years working in control and analysis for power systems, so he knows a thing or two about the need for highly available systems. Heere joined the OSIsoft CoE team in 2007 and has been helping to drive PI System best practices. He is also one of the primary liaisons between support and engineering for OSIsoft. If you have a good use case for the PI System, he'd welcome a chance to hear it. Pittsburgh, PA is home for Heere, and as a remote employee he specializes in video technology, including eveloping content for his YouTube channel.
