This presentation will provide an overview of the primary monitoring and analysis tools being used for electric transmission system operations at the American Transmission Company. The topics include a discussion of ATC’s Energy Management System functionality and how that system has been integrated with other applications including the OSIsoft PI System. The presentation will also cover what ATC has learned through the installation of over 100 Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs) and the ongoing use of the PI data and the benefits that those units provide.
