This presentation will discuss how, using VBA and the Module Database, a user can create generic Processbook or Excel applications. This method is currently in development by us (SAIC and Entergy) but is anticipated to save time in the development of new applications. We will present generic displays, our current standards that allows for these displays, as well as Excel applications that can read the information from a Processbook display and fill in needed information to load to the Module Database.

Steve is currently the Technical Lead of SAIC and Entergy Corporation’s OIS (Operations Information System) Support team. He has been working with SAIC and Entergy for the past two years on projects ranging from Excel applications, Processbook modification and development, Equipment Health Monitoring, and PI server administration.
