FiberLean® Technologies is the leading global producer of Microfibrillated Cellulose (MFC). As a Joint Venture between Imerys and Omya, our mission is to further industrialise and proliferate the use of MFC. These natural, renewable, high performance materials have the power to lead a material science revolution towards a more sustainable future.
FiberLean® Technologies has established full-scale commercial supply of MFC and is further expanding its global commercial reach using an innovative business model. As we expand, one of the many challenges we face, is to deliver an accurate data collection, and reporting system. We have to be able to convey the right type of information, to the right individual within the organisation, at exactly the right time. The objective of this presentation is to provide an overview of our newly installed OSIsoft data collection and reporting System. The PI System deployment process, the current status, and future goals will also be presented.

Richelieu Barranco is currently working as Industrial Process Manager for FiberLean Technologies Ltd. as part of a global team which is working in a a very exciting, innovative, and fast-paced project to develop and optimise the processes for new, high value products, mainly targeting the paper industry although have recently diversify into other new applications. The project represents a new field of knowledge on mineral/materials process engineering and has now moved to full commercialisation with four plants currently in operation. The work involved close collaboration with technical teams based in various parts of the world.
