Today’s business world waits for no one. Administrators need to make informed decisions on a moment’s notice using accurate and real time data. This presents a challenge to all enterprises when data is stored and managed on different databases and system platforms in different business units throughout the enterprise.
The need to unify multiple operational database systems used by all business units into one robust and coherent platform that is capable of deployment in fixed and mobile platforms then becomes an issue of the highest priority. The ideal solution would provide management with the insight and wisdom to make informed, time sensitive decisions, wherever they may be.
The application of the Entora concept achieved the goal of optimizing the company’s operation and maintenance by seamlessly sharing data between users on all business units and systems. Entora gives the user such power and access that it is virtually the same as being immersed in the system, capable of seeing data from all business units.
From the central PI System, ENTORA deploys data to Mobile Devices (Dashboards) and Desktop Computers (Dashboard and raw data for analysis).
ENTORA is an effective and efficient integration of OSIsoft products. The creative use of OSIsoft tools empowered ENTORA as a foundation for PREPA’s omnipresence in operational data, increasing productivity, efficiency and accuracy of the company.
Entora closes the gap between guessing and an informed intelligent decision.
