Uwe Fischer is currently Head of Asset Information systems at EON, operating with a globalized team in seven countries on two continents to ensure the most efficient follow-the-wind setup. He worked as the Enterprise Architecture and Information Security Officer in the EON’s Groups CIO Office and has set the foundations for the datacenter centralization and the overall infrastructure standardization. In 2008 Fischer took over the CIO role at EON Climate and Renewables where he established the centralized commercial IT department and kicked off the project for a technology independent Renewables SCADA Platform and the global Smart ECR process platform. He began working for EON in 2001 after 10 years within T-Systems and an expat position as Director of Global Networks in San Francisco for Intershop Communication.
