Enhancing Real-time Process and Operation Monitoring
Petronas Carigali is the PETRONAS arm responsible for upstream activities from reservoir to terminal. To ensure that operations, processes and activities are done efficiently, all data involved must be reliable, good quality and real-time. This presentation will explain the business challenges and how the PI System helped address those challenges. Recent implementation at Erb West Platform (east Malaysia) utilizing real-time process data, Safe Operating Limit and Critical Operating Limit initiatives were carried out automatically in real time, giving significant ROI in terms of savings in labor hours and unplanned shut down time.
