Enhancing Deep Water Production Surveillance with PI Coresight
PI Coresight was renamed PI Vision in 2017
In Shell's Upstream Americas Deep Water (Gulf of Mexico and Brazil) operations, there are over 50 interfaces across 19 assets collecting PI System data. This data is gathered in regional PI System installations and centralized in an enterprise business PI System used by multiple Upstream assets all over the world.
PI Coresight was recently rolled out on the global Upstream PI System as a pilot for the UA Deep Water business. Facilities and Production Surveillance staff use PI Coresight to get quick and easy access to PI System data, perform ad-hoc deep-dives for troubleshooting, and visualize real-time data across multiple Deep Water assets. PI Coresight helps users make more informed business decisions by bringing PI ProcessBook displays to a wider business audience through the web and by providing mobile access to users on the go."
