This presentation describes how Sun Chemical, Co. uses PI to save energy, improve quality and first pass yield, how it identifies continuous improvement opportunities and how it impacts on product quality, growth of their people and process knowledge. Francis Lauryssens
Francis Lauryssens PI Systems Specialist Mr. Lauryssens has held different positions at Sun in the last 17 years, with five of those years as the PI Systems Specialist. He has also worked as a Six Sigma greenbelt where he specialized in data retrieving and OEE. He provided support to Black Belts with data reports coming from PI and installed several control plans using PI. Mr. Lauryssens is originally from Belgium and was transferred to the U.S. by Sun in 2002. He loves the U.S. but misses the Belgian food.

Dane Overfield
Dane Overfield, BSEE Rochester Institute of Technology, currently leads the development of Exele's Process Data Analysis, Calculation, and Alarm Notification software products for PI and OPC. Dane has been with Exele since 1991, primarily working with and developing software for process data collection and historian products. He has been involved with designing and implementing software product-based solutions for PI customers for over 15 years.
