Physical and cyber infrastructure resilience is a major policy priority at every level of government and rising topic in corporate risk management circles. A recent Presidential Executive Order* designated 16 critical infrastructure sectors and corresponding US Federal agencies to share expertise to enhance resilience programs.
The panel will focus on innovations at Argonne National Laboratory which has extensive background in modeling infrastructure dependencies, interdependencies and resiliency. It will address physical dependencies which are a fundamental consideration when assessing the resilience of an organization, a campus, a city or an entire region. The integration of geospatial systems in infrastructure analytics allows analysts to easily compare assets, conduct data analysis, and discover interrelationships. Resilience is time-dependent and early decision making promotes resilient systems at all scales. Successful early mitigation depends on near real time data, structured decision making and clear communications.
OSIsoft, Esri and Argonne National Laboratory will discuss the workflow process needed to conduct a local, regional and national level dependency and resilience model based on OSIsoft’s PI System and Esri’s ArcGIS platform. Discussion items include data considerations, system interconnections, planning, response, recovery options, and clear communications."
