PI Coresight was renamed PI Vision in 2017
Have you ever been looking at a PI ProcessBook or PI WebParts display and wanted a quick way to investigate the data in a different way? Or maybe you have a custom application that uses PI System data and you want to give users a way to quickly drill into the data, at just the right point in time. PI Coresight is just the tool for that type of investigation, and we can also show you how to programmatically pass the context from another application to PI Coresight, so that a display is created with just the right information to start the investigation.
In this session, the PI Coresight development team will share how you can use a web service interface to create PI Coresight displays from external applications. PI Coresight has a web service interface that was created to facilitate integration between PI Coresight and other OSIsoft client products, but you can use the same interface to create a PI Coresight display from your own application. The presentation will include code examples and information on how to properly format data items and time context so the display is created with the right information.
