Development of Real-time Information Management System (RIMS) to Continuous Galvanizing Line (CGL) at the Asan Bay Works
To improve customer satisfaction and the productivity of the galvanizing line at the Asan Bay Works, the PI System was used to develop a real-time information management system. The system was designed to perform such functions as inspecting product quality, monitoring line, and managing data for time basis as well as product basis. This presentation will cover the development and application of RIMS including the system design and performance. A new function was developed to handle real-time data for a product that required matching the time differences between measurement by sensors and inspection by operators. The results show that the RIMS have been successfully used for our targets.
