Helping their customers maintain the highest possible availability from their equipment, Caterpillar uses PI capabilities to deliver on the promise of remote monitoring services with Equipment Care Advisor (ECA). With the help of OSIsoft Partner Casne Engineering, CAT has implemented a series of universal Asset Framework templates that model Off-Highway vehicles and stationary petroleum assets. These templates are then used to perform advanced analytics and integration with third party models across the Global Mining and Global Petroleum business units of Caterpillar, with future plans in Marine. This joint presentation will highlight the PI capabilities used to create the system, how it was developed and deployed, and what the solution means to Caterpillar and its customers.
