This introduction talk will discuss how analytics has become a business driver encouraged by regulations. Data Analytics is commonly used and almost mandatory throughout the lifecycle of a product, from early research through development, all the way to manufacturing, and generates significant value. This value can be measured through better knowledge, improved throughput, lower costs, shorter time to market and improved compliance - within as well as between organizations.
Besides the quality and compliance aspects, there are economic gains in for example improved overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), better asset and maintenance management, and energy management.
This talk will highlight the importance of empowering people across the organization with the right data, at the right time to enable real-time decisions, quality assurance and quality control for the entire supply chain.
