Hardening to withstand malicious attack is more important than ever as cyber threats continue to evolve. How do these changes impact your PI System? Current and emerging capability to withstand malicious attack based on security principles of strong authentication, least privilege, and operational countermeasures are featured. Bryan Owen
Bryan Owen is the principal cyber security manager for OSIsoft LLC. Owen helped pioneer use of PI System starting in 1985 as a control engineer and manager of PI System #3. After joining OSIsoft in 1996, he traveled globally in field service roles and engineering manager for the Oceania region. Owen returned to the United States to focus on cyber security in the post 9/11 era. He leads OSIsoft's security development lifecycle initiative, security hackathons, and incident response task force. Owen is Microsoft certified and a State of Washington Professional Engineer holding a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Oregon State University (1981).
