PI Coresight was renamed PI Vision in 2017
Offshore activities are index 1500 compared to onshore activities. This presentation will cover:
- collaboration between on-site, site office, and back office specialists through real-time decision making, on location, and on fact.
- access to real-time data from relevant sensor locations through integration of the Esri and OSIsoft PI System in an operational dashboard used for back office, site office, and on-site technicians to create one truth, combining time and space.
A wind technician has end-user access to real-time data through PI Coresight and asset data from Esri. When replacing parts, restarting components, etc. it is possible for on-site personnel to view corrective maintenance effects through mobile access to the SCADA-data tags in the OSIsoft PI System. The back office specialist can, as an end-user, guide the on-site wind technician and inspect immediate effects through a similar dashboard. At the same time the back office technician can inspect the WTG simultaneously and ask the on-site wind technician to follow up on any other findings identified through Core Insight. This capability allows the back office technician to have visual inspection and to follow immediate effects from corrections. The responsible offshore logistics in the site office can follow corrective maintenance inspections and immediate effects real time through the dashboard. It is possible for the site office planner to estimate when a task is done.
The Esri GeoEvent functionality allows the offshore planner to get an overview of potential offshore activities and issue work orders. Frequency, in an offshore wind context, is to avoid unplanned corrective service offshore. The real-time access to immediate effects from corrective maintenance will, in terms of duration, lead to more efficient service in terms of time used offshore. Waiting time on data flows will be limited as a consequence and the setup will allow DE to optimize service times based decisions based on real-time data."
