Collaboration Onshore/Offshore at ConocoPhillips Norway—A Look Behind the Scenes in an Onshore Operations Centre (OOC)
ConocoPhillips (COP) is creating a dynamic work environment where multi-disciplinary work processes between onshore and offshore employees are developed using real-time data to make a step change in collaboration, communication, and decision making within operations and maintenance. The centre is called the Onshore Operations Centre. It is intended to make the onshore organization more ‘operational’ and aligned to the priorities of the offshore platforms, resulting in improved and timely decision making. COP will discuss a recent project that used RtPortal as a collaboration tool within the OOC. The presentation will elaborate on how RtPortal has been used and how it integrates with other tools within the OOC, as well as some of the challenges that have arisen. The project was jointly implemented by the Amitec (VAR) and Omicron.
