Cogeneration Plant Dispatch Optimization Software and The Resulted Fuel SavingHear from our PI System user how they maintained total fuel cost at lowest possible using an in-house developed software (Optimizer) at the Glow Cogeneration Plant. The PI System was used in interfacing input and output data to the Optimizer, which is enabled to retrieve real-time demands and plant configuration, calculate the optimal dispatch accordingly, and then display such optimal dispatch in real-time.

Dr Somgiat, received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, M.S. in Economics, M.S. in Electrical Engineering at low state University, USA. He received his B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from Chulalongkom University, Bangkok.
He is currently Asset Optimization Vice President at Glow Group Thailand. Before he joined Glow Group, he was working with power utility in U.S. His focused areas of expertise are performance optimization, software modeling for economic decision under risk/ uncertainties for both power utilities and other industries.
