In 2010, WINData presented an update of its use of high-frequency, near-real-time meteorological observations to improve the confidence in intra-hour forecasts for wind energy operators. This session is designed to be an in-depth discussion of data collection experience and implementation evolution over the course of the project, and the distribution of this data to partners for use in forecasting operations. Emphasis will be placed on experience derived from logger designs, field tests and experience maintaining the WINData cloud-based environment.

Gregg LeBlanc
Gregg LeBlanc holds a Master's degree in chemical engineering with over a decade of product management, software architecture, user experience research and technology roadmap planning. During his time at OSIsoft, he developed deep insight into customer business and technology issues surrounding the development and adoption of real-time infrastructure software for process manufacturing, power generation and distribution industries. Currently, Gregg is applying this knowledge to the wind power industry and, at times, to Windows Azure and the OSIsoft. Gregg has been a software conference keynote and regional seminar speaker. He is also an actor and an award-winning photographer whose work has been published in a number of magazines.
