PRESENTATION
2003 - User Conference
BuzzMe/PI Manual Logger
PI Manual Logger provides a way for data that cannot be collected electronically to still be captured by the PI System. Recent enhancements (fully automated synchronization between the PC and the hand held device, mandatory scanning of barcodes and enhanced conditional collection criteria) will be reviewed, as will plans for future enhancements. BuzzMe is an online event monitoring and alert management system. Users define alert conditions (such as the value of a PI point exceeding a specified limit) and the e-mail address(es) that notifications should be sent to when that alert condition is met. This presentation discusses the use and main features of BuzzMe, and outlines how BuzzMe is tightly integrated with the PI System, using PI ACE to provide exception based alerts and PI ICE to provide the user interface.
