Presentation: Building the Case for Asset Framework at International Paper

There are many goals competing for resources in a large corporation. Upgrading PI AF and incorporating its new features can be a challenge with everything else happening around the corporation. This presentation describes several use case examples for convincing our corporation to migrate to PI AF in a structured manner. The business cases demonstrate how to use corporate goals can to help justify change. The talk covers three main cases for PI Asset Framework (PI AF):

• Using PI AF templates to standardize calculations and get to a single version of the truth.
• Simplify the IT environment by converting home-grown OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) calculations to PI Event Frames.
• Reducing time and improving capital project effectiveness through standard calculation methodologies to identify and track results from capital improvements.
