The transformation of process and manufacturing data into digital assets requires us to rethink how we collect, manage and use streaming data and events from the OSIsoft PI System and other data sources to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Known data validation and data reconciliation methods can be combined to condition heterogenous data into a usable dataset, suitable for digital transformation initiatives, advanced analytics or other advanced manufacturing strategies. In this best practice session, we will review the options available to process engineers today, data engineers and data scientists for carrying out this activity with the OSIsoft PI System and discuss a few examples of the resulting benefits.
