Best Practices for Using and Deploying the Asset Framework
PI Asset Framework (AF) is an integral part of the PI Server. It enables you to build an asset model of the physical objects in your process and associate asset properties to the data. This asset model becomes a “directory” allowing you to find and consume the information you need quickly. PI AF provides additional benefits, including an online calculation engine, support for templates, Units of Measure and many more. This presentation will provide a brief overview of PI AF, followed by some best practices for using and deploying this software, and will provide real life examples of PI AF deployment including one at a data center.
