Automating ConEd's AutoCAD and Mimic Board inside PI ProcessBook: Integrating GIS with PI
A major NE utility has recreated a single bulk power diagram that combines 900 AutoCAD diagrams, the Mimic Board and components of SCADA in CNI’s FastGate server which is viewed using their ActiveX control inside OSIsoft’s PI ProcessBook. This project is now operational and includes the bulk power grid, breakers, disconnect, feeder flow indicator, cable loading, alarm states, cable hot, generators, among many other details. Functional components allow historical trending and refresh for details. This utility will discuss the current and future plans for this application.
