Artificial Intelligence is Enabling MHPSA to Change the Utilities Business Model
In this session, we will discuss how Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems is working with SparkCognition to implement AI for predictive maintenance into its MHPS-TOMONI platform, and in doing so is changing the business model. Even in today’s highly efficient power plants, asset monitoring and maintenance continue to be suboptimal, directly impacting the bottom line. Assets have expanded in complexity and now provide more sensor data than ever. However, plants still rely on SMEs and sensor analysts to accurately categorize all anomalous machine behavior and assess risks. AI-based machine learning automatically predicts and analyzes known and unknown signatures. This technology amplifies the effectiveness of SMEs, and unlocks the potential for the autonomous power plants of the future. By implementing AI-powered predictive maintenance into its asset monitoring platform TOMONI, MHPSA is disrupting the power generation industry by offering its customers increased plant availability.
