Mobile devices deliver tremendous convenience and productivity for consumers and businesses alike. Critical infrastructure and, especially Industry, seek to harness the same benefits and efficiencies. The lingering question on everyone's mind is: are mobile technologies safe enough? Industry needs to know about mobility risk posture and if available cyber security approaches are sustainable. This presentation highlights the LOGIIC consortium project report on mobility with results including assessment of PI Vision. We discuss important factors that should be weighed when considering a mobility solution in context of industrial use cases. Findings describe 8 categories of common risk from native applications to connectivity and device handling concerns. Mobility solutions examined in the project were observed to take very different approaches to mitigate these risks.
