Cargill is an international provider of food, agricultural, and risk management products and services. The company was founded in 1865 and had revenues of $71 billion in 2005. With 124,000 employees in 59 countries, the company is committed to using its knowledge and experience to collaborate with customers to help them succeed. Cargill recently signed an OSIsoft Enterprise License Agreement. They will discuss their current PI environment and how this agreement will help them achieve a worldwide enterprise structure with better sharing of data across their business units and remote locations, centralized, cost-effective support, and the opportunity to leverage a center of expertise for advanced PI application sharing and development.

Rik Geerts
Rik Geerts is a long time advocate, promoter, and user of PI. He joined Cargill in 1986 and currently holds the position of EI&A European Oilseeds Team Lead, Digital Fund Director—a corporate initiative supporting cutting edge digital enabled projects. He has held many roles across Cargill, in both the U.S. and Europe, including MES Team member and Automation and Plant IT Manager. He enjoys reading about everything related to innovation and the integration of plant and business.
