Cargill is an international provider of food, agricultural, and risk management products and services. The company was founded in 1865 and had revenues of $71 billion in 2005. With 124,000 employees in 59 countries, the company is committed to using its knowledge and experience tocollaborate with customers to help them succeed. Cargill recently signed an OSIsoft Enterprise License Agreement. They will discuss their current PI environment and how this agreement will help them achieve a worldwide enterprise structure with better sharing of data across their businessunits and remote locations, centralized, cost-effective support, and the opportunity to leverage a center of expertise for advanced PI application sharing and development.

Michael Jones
Since 1991, Mr. Jones has been involved in various areas of Information Technologies for Cargill including client and infrastructure implementation and support; application development; project management; facility infrastructure, application, and support management; and consulting. He played key roles in many firsts within Cargill such as creating decentralized, local client and infrastructure IT teams; implementing the first data historians within Cargill; creating the PI data historian support structure for the Plant Controls Group at 40 percent savings over conventional ITsupport; and negotiating the first enterprise software agreement of its kind within Cargill spanning multiple geographies, platforms and business units. Graduating Cum Laude with a B.S. in Computer Science from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, Mr. Jones has worked in the Food and Beverage and Steel industries with diverse technical and management roles from the plant floor, to the corporate level in Quality Assurance and Information Technologies.
