Hydro-Quebec is actually deploying AMI for their 4 000 000 customers. This new information is very valuable to the different research projects and there was a need to gather and integrate this new data with the network topology. The R&D division already as a PI system deployed which is used by many research projects. In this current project, we collected the time values of the MDMS data and we put them into the PI historian. We have also create a CIM export of the MDMS model which we integrated with our network topology. This model is then inserted in PI A/F. This makes it very easy to get some values out of the AMI data.

Mathieu Viau
Mathieu Viau is a computer engineer that graduated in 2002. He worked at the Hydro-Quebec's Transmission control center for five years where he was responsible of the IT integration and architecture. Since 2008, he has been working at the Hydro-Quebec R&D division, were he is leading the semantic interoperability work.
