Presentation: Alcoa Global Primary Products Smart Manufacturing: A conversation on the organizational impacts

Alcoa Global Primary Products (GPP) began a journey in 2009/2010 with the assistance of OSIsoft to define, develop and deploy a solution architecture based on the adoption of an Enterprise PI System for real-time data capture across worldwide smelter operations. This solution architecture was branded within Alcoa as GPP Smart Manufacturing and this presentation will explore general experiences and the impacts on the organization with the continued growth in data visibility and transparency across all levels of the operations.
