This presentation will explain AGL's journey to be a data-driven organization across all operations. The challenges initially facing AGL included disparate SCADA systems and WANs, distributed data management systems with no central access, multiple solutions for performance and loss analysis, lack of data quality and precision … all leading to inefficient use of human resources. To address these issues, AGL realized they needed an enterprise-wide data infrastructure that would provide a single data source for all applications. To ensure rapid, uniform roll-out and ongoing monitoring and to maintain the infrastructure at peak performance, they chose to go with OSIsoft's Enterprise Agreement. The presentation will cover reasons for choosing the Enterprise Agreement, the planning process, architecture design, roll-out, training and achieving rapid time to value."
