Iberdrola, one of the top ten utilities of the world, started using PI on Combined Cycle Power Plants six years ago. During this period, Iberdrola has improved its Combined Cycle business unit using PI and is now in the process of expanding this value to other technologies within Iberdrola, such as Hydro, Coal and Nuclear. This presentation shows the latest advanced PI applications deployed on Combined Cycles (advanced equipment monitoring, periodical shift inspections, etc.) and a plan to expand all the value from PI on Combined Cycles to the rest of Iberdrola portfolio around the world. Significance: Using PI ACE Iberdrola has deployed a tool for advanced equipment monitoring. Modeling its equipment and analyzing the failures modes Iberdrola can send notifications to operation staff in order to prevent failures.
