Accessible Information for Manufacturing with PI System
The Hershey Company will present a review of their AIM (Accessible Information for Manufacturing) solution. The AIM system is a manufacturing management and reporting system that leverages the OSIsoft PI System, SAP MII (Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence), and SAP ERP platforms. The PI System is the foundational layer of the AIM solution that enables the reliable collection, aggregation, and delivery of real-time plant data across the companies multiple systems and platforms.

Russell Gregg is a Sr. Project Manager-IS Global Supply Chain/Manufacturing Systems for The Hershey Company. Russ has been deploying, administrating, and using the PI System for over fourteen years. This is his fifth presentation at an OSIsoft Users Conference. Russ has held various roles in Engineering, Process Improvement, Manufacturing Operations, and Information Systems throughout his thirty year career. His experience spans across multiple industries at leading companies including Hercules Chemical, Mobil Chemical, Avery Dennison, Applied Extrusion Technologies (Acquired by Taghleef Industries in 2012), and The Hershey Company. In his current position he is focused on the delivery of real-time manufacturing execution and reporting systems that integrate the companies Industrial Control, Manufacturing Execution, and ERP systems to deliver actionable information.
