A Recipe Driven Approach to Support Data Visualization from Lab to Commercial
Introducing state of the art automated lab reactor (ALR) and process analytical technology (PAT) equipment in the process development laboratories of API small enables scientists to generate and capture persistent process data in a standard recipe context to generate information and knowledge from experiments. By streamlining products and processes along the continuum of development, Janssen enables efficient transfer from the lab through pilot plants, commercial operations and ultimately to their patients, capturing and building knowledge throughout. The PI System is the standard data historian across the development and commercial platforms in Janssen. This allows Janssen to visualize data coming from the ALRs and in combination with the application of the S88 recipe structure standards using event frames will allow for comparison between the lab and commercial processes. This forms the foundation of day to day data management, perfectly fitting into a strategy of going towards one Integrated Data Management system.
